The start of the year has been surprisingly warm here in Alberta and I love how I don't have to wrap myself in bulky clothing to keep myself warm. But aside from being warm, the climate here has been super dry; my hands has been cracking and it literally feels like sandpaper. So this month I have to rave about this L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream because it saved my hands right after the first application. It's lightly scented, non-greasy, has shea butter and it absorbs really quickly leaving it feeling protected. They make the best hand cream by far.
Tarte had their new launch with this Tarte Best In Faux Lash Extending Fibers. It's great for people with strait short lashes like me. The product comes in two applications, one primer mascara and one bottle of nylon lash fibers. I have to admit the first time using this product gave me great results but the fibers kept getting everywhere and falling off under my eye. The directions says to apply mascara then fiber but the key to applying the perfect coverage without fibers falling everywhere is to generously apply mascara again after the two steps. So in general I would give this a product 4 out of 5 stars because it really enhanced the length of my lashes and made them way more noticeable.
I recently have been clearing out my makeup drawer and I found my long lost beloved Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - Bronze. This product has this beautiful five bar shimmer colour which works great for highlighting the face, eye shadow and for bronzing. What a versatile brick, I love how this product gives a great glow to the face and it's so build-able and blend-able.
And last, I have recently got another Gold Bracelet to add to my nail jewelry collection. I'm in love with how this bracelet bends and creates a beautiful knot, all in a shape of a nail.
So I must say, January started off this year beautifully and can't wait to see what more is to come.

DeleteYou have no idea how quickly I logged on to Sephora.com to search for that mascara! I'm all about adding length whenever possible! Lol. My lashes are thick (yay? Lol) but so short.
